Is the bottle really made of copper?
Yes. COPRA™ bottles are made with food-grade copper, both inside and out. The interior may look a different shade than the exterior, since the treatment applied for direct water contact meets strict food-safety requirements. The traditional properties associated with copper remain present thanks to the food-safe copper treatment on the inside of the bottle.

Is it safe to drink from a copper bottle every day?

Why does the water taste slightly different?

Copper and its color variations: what to know
Copper naturally varies in tone depending on how it's treated, all genuine. What you see on the outside is real copper in its safest form for you. The inside may appear slightly more golden or yellow, and that's completely normal. This difference comes from the manufacturing process: the interior undergoes stricter food-safety treatment than the exterior, resulting in a naturally lighter-toned surface, tested and certified for water contact.
How do I clean the bottle?
Cleaning is simple and natural. Once a week, fill the bottle with a mix of water and lemon juice (or a spoonful of sea salt), let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Never put the bottle in the dishwasher, and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges. Slight natural oxidation of the copper is normal and doesn't affect its properties.
Can I store lemon water or other drinks in it?
We recommend using the bottle with plain water only. Acidic drinks (lemon juice, fruit juice, soda, hot beverages) can accelerate copper oxidation and affect the taste. For the best results, let filtered or tap water sit for 6 to 8 hours minimum, ideally overnight.
Does the water stay cold in the bottle?
COPRA™ is made of pure, non-insulated copper, it's not designed to keep drinks cold like an insulated bottle. The goal is to offer purified, mineral-enriched water through copper, not temperature retention. For best results, prepare your water the night before and drink it within 24 hours.
